About the role
Reporting to the Head of Brand, Product & Retention Marketing, the Brand Manager will be responsible for the leadership, development and implementation all brand, product and retention marketing communications at Metromile. The core work includes leading the development of all brand advertising, product advertising, existing customer messaging, key brand partnerships, and all core brand positioning work.
Key Responsibilities
Overall leadership and stewardship of the Metromile brand
Leadership of messaging across all brand and retention marketing
Development of the Metromile brand-building framework including identifying who the target customer is, what the brand strategy is and messaging how the the team should go to market.
Significantly improving the effectiveness and the creative merit of all communication materials.
Development of marketing communication that delivers on core company strategies.
Coach and develop a quickly-growing team into a high performing brand marketing organization
Management of multiple outside vendors with constant vigilance over costs
About you
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years marketing communications experience. MBA preferred but not required
Core strengths in leadership, strategic thinking, drive for innovation, agility and emotional intelligence
Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a highly collaborative environment
Demonstrated understanding of the role of marketing communications within the overall corporate strategy.
Superior strength in developing original ideas and directing appropriate artistic executions
Ability to articulate both strategic and creative concepts and present these in a compelling and persuasive manner
Must be knowledgeable and conversant in design and production with different media, including TV, print, radio, and digital.
Desire to get your hands dirty and to do the work yourself
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage vendor relationships
The ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
