Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director of Communications is responsible for external communications strategy and execution activities into our key influencer audiences, including Media, Analysts and industry thought leaders. Key metrics for success in this role will be determined as the strategy is formulated but will include share of voice, social engagement and metrics that provide evidence of thought leadership and market influence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish the Origami Logic brand position in the CMO, Digital Marketing and Marketing Analytics influencer communities
Own the editorial calendar and outreach plan
Own key relationships with VIP influencers
Generate editorial content and storylines– blog posts, original research, social posts, contributed articles.
Create, track and report on results of published materials and outreach
Build creative storylines for traded and for business media
Manage a roster of external agencies.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience as a PR or Communications Snr. Manager or Director for a software product (B2B or B2C) or Subject Matter Expert in the Marketing Domain
“Roll-up-your-sleeves” entrepreneurial, start-up attitude
Natural ability to relate to customers and prospects
Proven track record producing a strong body of work
Extremely organized and detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines, often working on several projects simultaneously
Proactive and thoughtful communicator
Team player but can also work independently, make decisions and isn’t afraid to work without a safety net.
Bachelor’s degree (MBA or other Master’s preferred)
Self-motivated, passionate and energetic
